I’m sure this could only happen in France where they always appreciate fine food. Apparently these enamel lunch boxes would be filled in the morning with something delicious prior to the working day then collected up by staff and immersed in a water bath to heat up ready for lunch. As much as I love the British past tradition of bread and cheese I much prefer the French way of lunching. This one was purchased on a French market and has now found its way to Sally’s . I’m sure it would be great for camping too,or just an arty piece of kitchenalia.
